Pick a Resort

Now that we know about Lighthouse Point, which of the CP resorts (Breakers, Sandcastle Suites, Camper Village, the Radisson, Breakers Express, or Lighthouse Point) would you choose if money were no object? I think I'd take either one of the really ritzy rooms in Breakers or one of the fancy new cabins. I wouldn't want to be off-point because I don't want to fight the traffic, and I don't really like suites all that much. What about you?

I would go with your two choices, although I kind of like Sandcastle's location.

Yeah, I like Sandcastle, because it's soo peacefull out there, until a train goes through Magnum's turnaround.:)

Magnum-Just Ride It!!!
Breakers all the way. we stay there every year, always with a park view...i'd rather look out at night and see MF and Maggy and PT anyday...

We stayed in Breakers this season for the first time (my husband and I), and whoa! I won't stay in one of those cheapie rooms again. It was in the Bon Air annex, the old part, and while it was ... quaint ... the bed would creak if you looked at it funny, and you could tell everything was old and outdated. Not that there was anything wrong with it, after all, I came for the coasters! But next time, the nicer rooms all the way!

Howard Johnson's off point, Just kidding. I try to stay wherever it is cheapest, Usually at the Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn express with my employee rate
One of those cabins at Lighthouse Point might be pretty cool. But I would pick Sandcastle. It's peaceful.
LightHouse Point... of course money is not an obect but does anyone know how much those are gonna cost? It just looks peaceful from the drawings... hopefully that's how it will be in real life!

hmmmm...Let's see, if I were ever rich enough or old enough, I'd probably stay at Sand Castle, because you could get a good view of Magnum's turnaround.
in my car, about 8 miles south on 4,just down a dirt road, lol jk, it varies, but usually i go for a day trip
drove to a friends 200 miles away from me on friday nights, then another 250 the next morning to cp, then back to his house for sat night, then drove home sunday 4 times this past summer.
no time to stay in the area those weekends,1000 miles + is ok though to not go alone :)
(ill pay anyone within 10 miles of the point 5 bucks to pitch a tent in their backyard though next summer, lol)

please ignore my many typos and grammar errors :)
I am also for the Light House Point..... could you imagine renting a nice little place like in the piture on the lake and having a season pass to the park going in and spending about 4 hours in the park a day and being there for a week....... very relaxing and fun.... having a Sea Doo or something... as well!!!

Accomodations is the one area that in someway I'm always let down by the park. It's a combination of the way the rooms are maintained, housekeeping and pricing. I don't mind paying big dollars, but I expect big things out of big dollars, comparable to other places I've stayed.

We stay at Sandcastle every year. My wife is even a GM for Marriott which means we could saty at any Marriott property (Fairfield Inn, Courtyard, Residence Inn, etc) for free or at worst employee rate which is usually $39.

Instead we choose to pay $200 a night to stay on property...it's that much more convienent to us!
Cedar Point Marina on my friends boat. Being so close to everything is awesome. From the top deck I have a great view of the big MF.
Hopefully light house point wont be very expensive beceause not everybody wants to pay 225 a night

We have always enjoyed staying at Sandcastle. We have never stayed off-point.
