I'm planning a visit to CP on Thursday, the 18th. However, I just noticed that the 18th on the Dates & Hours page that the day is listed as "Physics/Math & Science Day." Does anyone know if/how this will affect crowds on that day? Will the whole place be overrun by students and defeat the benefit of going on a presummer week day?
Probably. But keep in mind that a lot of schools go on a different day to avoid physics day. Basically the park is full of physics students for most of the month of may.

Well I'm going that day and there should be about 8,000 students there. Which I think is less than yesterday and everything was basically a walk-up.
I've heard past physics days to be hellish. Go to google and do a search for physics day on the site pointbuzz.com.
And of a lot of the time that they are there they are doing math problems. ;) Right.

That sounds pretty bad...

Our physics teacher hates Physics Day because of all the kids, so he actually takes the physics classes on a different day. In fact, they went today.

I don't care about kids running around so much as wait times. How are the wait times on these days? Would I be better off waiting and going on Friday?
Same here what are the wait times on Physics/Math day ?? I am going in 2 days and have been wondering this myself...
Unfortunately for my school, full year physics programs were split inot semester class, with the exception of IB Physics Program, which is my class. What really sucks about this is that in splitting the classes, they eliminated the Cedar Point Trip all together. Not even those of us who are in the IB Program are granted a trip to Cedar Point.
So, as a result, my IB class got together adn planned a trip for Friday, May 19 and skip all day!!
Should be fun!!!

Okay...we've decided to go on Friday instead. Hopefully, it will be pretty good. I was originally thinking that crowds would be up on Fridays, but compared to 8000 students added in the mix, I think it might be the better of the two days.
We went on Wed 5/17 and there were many students running around with their physics homework. I have not been there before during this event, but I was rather pleased. The biggest wait was 30 minutes and that was being selfish for the front seats on MF and TTD.
Skyhawk and others were walk ons!
By the way, TTD was running the best I have seen it in a long time!
