I am a sophomore and I am taking physics at school and my class along with a few other classes are going to CP for physics day. Now, my questions are how many other people have been there for this? What is it like? Are you able to ride the coasters for a while? Is there food? Are there a lot of other schools that do this? Are season passes allowed this day? I'm sorry to ask so many questions but this is my first time for this event, and just wanted to know what it's like. Any input at all would be great.
It's insane... It's one of the few days I refuse to go.
There is no ERT if I recall.. it's get in line and wait as usual.

I agree, ITS INSANE. Sorry to crush your hopes. I will never go on one of those days again. I was there the day before and the day of Physics Day and the difference was like night and day. I vow never to go that day again.
First since the crowd is all high school kids, most of them like to ride coasters so the wait's are generally long. Last year was no exception. It may have had something to do with the fact MF rolled back on physics day, but still walk On's for Mantis, Magnum, and Raptor the day before turned into hour and a half waits. The wait to ride just one of these is how long I waited to ride MF the day Before!
My class's physics trip took place another day (the Monday when MF wasn't working). It's just like any other day at the park, except I had to carry around a calculator, pencils, instruments, and worksheets to do physics problems.
To answer more of your questions, as long as your get your work done, you can ride all day unless your teacher makes you attend a special session. Season Passes were accepted in my case so I imagine they will be in yours. I was the only one in the entire school that had a pass (What a bunch of weirdo's who went to my school ;) )
Still a Bad day at CP is better than a good day at school :). I'm not saying it's bad, just abnormally crowded for a weekday in may.
You're right.. it was the day of the rollback because I was coming down Frontier Trail with a friend and and we had left the video cam in the car because the bat wasn't totally charged. I was SOOO mad I didn't have the cam to catch that.

By the way... Elyria High School will be there for Physics Day this year... is there anyone else from Elyria on this board???
I beleive there MIGHT have been more than one day with a lot of Physics classes last year. I was there while Milan and several other schools were there (i wasn't with my class... my mom pulled me out of school for a day for a trip to the Point)... It was a bit crowded...

Physics Day is a bunch of kids pointing at the Magnum (as they wait in line), asking, "How tall is that, again?"
I know people in Elyria, as well as people who go to Elyria High for that matter. Thats about it. Yes, I recall several days early in the year with kids walking around with insturments even though it was not phsyics day.. Even my Physics day was on a different day than the official day.

When are these Physics days so i can be sure not to attend the masses?
When are the physics days, so I can persuade my physics teacher not to take us there that day? How easy is it for a physics class to go another day and do the physics stuff, does anyone know? (only 20 people, it's not like we're going to send a big mob to the park!)

A bad day at CP is better than a good day at work (or school).
Well well well....
