Photoshops / Mock-ups

Ok, I made a No Limits version of "Maverick". I based it ROUGHLY off of footers we have seen and the space available. I have also incorporated the lift and launch idea, as well as the Aquatrax and looper theory, to give you...

I know the supports are lower to the ground then this coaster, but i tried to incorporate the declining brake run theory. I also tried my best to make it look like it would fit into the current Project 2007 site. If you like what you see i can post more screenshots.

Nice work...I'm still trying to figure out why everyone thinks the supports are too steep for a launch from the othr direction though. And since i've never seen a brake run thatdrops down like that. Hold on, maybe that drop is a fly-through and the brake run is actually to the right of it......hhmmmmm. That would be an awsome fly through if it actually incorporated a drop into the station. It could happen

I am not getting the to steep thing / idea. it surely does'nt look any steeper than TTD. why not a launch? Throw me a bone.

Its much more steep than TTD - which is almost flat.

It could probably be done, though who knows? To most (including me), it seems to obviously be a brake run. Though, those who WANT it to be a launch will likely see it as a launch. Those who WANT it to be a lift will likely see it as a lift.

For clarification of the obvious, here is a pic of P2007:

Notice the difference?

Is this question reffering to me? if so, i have it set at 50 mph. Im currently working on a more accurate creation of the ride.

More accurate? THEY HAVEN'T ANNOUNCED WHAT IT IS YET. How accurate can it be?

More accurate as in, based off of supports weve seen and footer placement.

Once again this doesent really mean anything. I think tha tone improvement to TTD would be that they could have made the launch run slope up more. Because if youve ever seen a rollback on TTD you know how very long it takes for the train to get back to launch position on that almost flat launch track. If you could get the train back to launch 4x as fast by adding more slope, then a rollback would be not as much of a pain for all those people who are waiting.

Mechanical Engineer: Dont mess with us, we design your coasters.

The train doesn't take forever getting back to the station because the track is sloped so little. The train begins rolling just fine down that launch track. It's because the breaks have to be tossed up every couple seconds and stop it that makes it take so long.

I don't understand how making a steeper launch would be an improvement in any way. It's more stress on the parts and more pull needed from the engine. The train would launch SLOWER if it were steeper because it would have to fight gravity more, or if anything else, it would make the launch more intense for guests. I haven't ever heard of a complaint that "that train is taking too long to come back." The GP doesn't tend to worry about problems like enthusasts do. ;)

Usually people are too busy laughing or talking to their friends about wtf just went wrong with the ride because it didn't make it over.

Fat Man Tarkey, I like those screen shots. It will be interesting to see if it's anything like Maverick when it's done.

OK, i made a new version of "Maverick". This one is much more family oriented. It has a 45mph launch into a tunnel, and is lower to the ground then the other version i made. I tried to place alot of footers near the station since that is what we have been seeing latley. enjoy

Are you using rct? if you are how do you get the supports to looks like that. on rct3 it only lets me build straight up supports.

See, if you read the thread, it helps sometimes to understand what's going on. ;)

I still say that the helix over the pond is going to be doubled. At least I hope it is.
