I have always been wondering. When will the photo section be updated with closng day photos?

How did closing day look any different than any other day? Not trying to be a jerk, just not seeing the point.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with either one of you...I see both points. On one hand, people have been treated to closing day photos for three years. On the other hand...people have been treated to closing day photos for the past three years. ;)

Ok, that was lame, but I've been waiting to use that one, and that was the perfect chance.

I really don't care either way;although if I were in a picture or two, I would definitely want them up. ;)

Nah, it was printed on a receipt that printed out of the ATM machine just outside of the queue line. ;)

We've had closing day galleries in the past where we've kind of told the "story" of the final day. Jeff's right, the stuff looks the same, so I always tried to do it with a journalistic or storytelling view.

For various reasons, including the lousy weather, I didn't get much time in the park on the last day in 2006. But I looked through the photo library and managed to find a few pictures that I took near the end of the day. Here are four:

Walt, I can totally understand your reasoning for not putting an emphasis on taking photos this closing day.

I, along with many others, really appreciate all the hard work you put into the photos on this site. Thanks for all you do! :)

The weather sucked. I put some photos up on my site. Nothing interesting happened, except the Raptor rollback.

Ohhhhhhhhh - Those pics are great Walt. Knowing they were taken on closing day makes them seem very nostalgic.

I don't think they were taken ON closing day, but someone on another site (I forget which one) had some amazing pictures. They may have been just on closing weekend.

Oh, wait. That was last year. Crew really did a great job with keeping it in shape. Walt, excelent use of the exposure in the pics!

2006 was a great season for TTD. 2007 shall be just as good.

Yeah that kind of confused me for a sec. I didnt know what he was referring to. :)

Nobody can justify any negative comments about Dragsters performace last year (though I know some of you WILL). Downtime was just limited to short times due to the blocks, the 2 days for the catch car (1 full day and 2 half days), and 1 day for the cable (2 half days). There was also the thing with the gear boxes which lasted through the 8th & 9th of september, but it was nothing big.

I'd say that's a huge improvement!
