Photography in live shows?

What is Cedar Fair's policy on photography in live shows? I saw on their media/press pages that it's strictly prohibited without the permission of the performers featured, but I've seen photos of CP and other CF parks live shows on a fairly frequent basis.

Is that restriction only on working media?

If the photos are for personal use, and no flash is involved, I don't believe the park or performers have a problem with it.

I am in the diving show, and i assure you pictures are absolutely welcome. as for the other ones, who knows, but we are the only one worth seeing anyway :-D

I have a bunch of great photos from the diving show. Should be up later in the week.

So do I; the diving show is actually one of the more fun shows to photograph.

That being said, as MrScott said, as long as it's without a flash you should be fine. The only show where it is restricted (or was, I haven't seen it yet this year) is during Snoopy's Summer Vacation.

Photography is OK at the ice show, but no video.

Yeah, I have seen those before. I thought you had done it with permission from the park or something though.

Nope. Shot it while watching the show with the family.

Looks like I'll sit through Snoopy's again then on Thursday or Friday. Still have to get to the diving show yet though.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

You make it sound like it's torture, Mike...

It's not my favorite show in the world. I think I would rather watch Freaky Friday honestly. The performers are great, it's just something about the show, and I can't place it.

It's the same with the bit that I saw of Divine Divas. Good performers, good idea, I just didn't like it. *** Edited 8/8/2006 1:17:10 AM UTC by BlueStreak64***

I see your point... although I sometimes feel like I actually haven't watched any of them, as I've seen them all through a lens.

The 2006 Snoopy's Summer Vacation is so much better than the 2005 version. I would love to see pics from Walt and DBCP. ;)
