Phantom Coaster in Picture?

Has anyone else noticed that the picture at the top of CP's website seems to show a ghostly image of a coaster that is currently not there, or am I crazy? Is this a hidden clue of what's coming?

It looks like a lift hill that starts at the back of the park and runs forward, dropping off around the same spot as MF's second hill.

Help?

Last time I checked, Mean Streak was still located at Cedar Point.

I think the "ghostly image" is Mean Streak's first hill.

Definitely Mean Streak's first hill. Somebody really should brighten it up, though.

While I agree that it is right where MS is, the 1st hill doesnt match the rest of the ride seen in that pic. Its obviously meant to be MS, I think someone just forgot to "color" that part like the rest of MS in the drawing...

Trust me when I say that banner is just as accurate as a photo... possibly more so.

It can't be Mean Streak, Mean Streak is in front of Dragster and Power Tower. It must be another coaster.

We dont need another rumor. It is the perfect shape of MEAN STREAK. The first drop is not steep and if you follow the track right, it goeas right into the big turn then dips then back up the second hump and finally back down torwards that station. You can even see the loading station. The reason it is so DIM is because you need to be able to see the little bit they have of MANTIS if you look hard and they wanted nothing to be blocked out. I hope this doesnt turn into a big rumor "Ghostly image of new coaster". That image has been the same for quite some time. Thank You!

It's not another coaster...it's Mean Streak, people. You people have to think about looking at the peninsula just off the shore from Lighthouse Point. See the little cabins in the foreground?

The circle to the right is MS's first hill, the middle circle is MS's first turn, and the hill under PT is MS's third hill. See it now?

Mean Streak is more compact though. Once you go down the first hill, you began to come back up the second. Plus, if that was Mean Streak's chain lift, it would have to be overlapping TTD in the picture. It wouldn't be behind MF's third hill.

Either that's a bad picture, or that's something else.

I think we're overanalyzing an artist's representation of Mean Streak.

That is Mean Streak and it is where it is supposed to be.

The hill does resemble Mean Streak. But if this view is from the back side of the peninsula, why does it appear that Mean Streak is behind everything else?

It is a view from the back of the pinnensula. The reason Mean Streak looks a little out of place is because it's so light. Look closely and you'll see that Millennium Force is, in fact, behind Mean Streak.

If MS were brightened up a little bit it would look less weird. If it bugs you that much e-mail the webmasters and tell them how much you think their banner sucks. I'm sure they'll appreciate that.

John's right. I just e-mailed the webmasters and told them to brighten MS up. You all should, too.

Couldn't we all come up with something much more productive to do with our time... like solve world hunger.

Really come on it's not a phantom but the banner confuses me but thats all right. I liked the old banner better.
