Personalized Bricks

I am not sure if this was brought up before but I think it would be cool if some where in the park they could have a section with personalized bricks. I think they did it a Visionland, and I know they did it at the new Cleveland Browns Stadium and Jacob's Field here in Cleveland. Actually I got one down at the Jake and I would get a few if the park offered them. If the idea came up say back last spring they could do it around MF or around the new area of the Giant Wheel or if that Boardwalk rumor is true some where around the Boardwalk.

Just a thought, I would like to see happen.

That would be very cool. Disney has that ride out side the gates to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. I think that would be a great idea. I would have to get at least one! :)
That would be great! I mean Cedar Point could make some big money. They do it at Disney..... from what I have heard.
The Toledo Zoo does that also. I know they made big bucks with it because they started a new series on the pedestrian bridge. I think that would be cool, if Cp did that. Maybe have a statue celebrating one hundred and fifty summers, and having bricks around it in a semicircle?

They've done the same to North Coast Harbor, next to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I would get a few bricks as well.

I think it would be interesting if they would denote at the bottom: the date and your current favorite attraction. [ie.. MAGNUM '00] As a fundraiser, this could inspire repeat purchases. (always the entrepreneur). It's not like they'll run out of space.

Just don't place them between the main gate and the ticketbooths. (we'll get swarmed by photographers while searching for your bricks!) lol.

Keep in mind that all of these examples are instances of non-profit or local government subsidized projects. Cedar Point exists purely for profit. If it was for some philanthropic cause I could certainly understand it, but if it was just to fill their pockets, forget it. I already spend more than a grand there every year.

Hey Jeff, I wish I ONLY spend a grand every year on Cedar Point.

Ohh Newt I saw the bricks at the Toledo Zoo this past Monday.

Oh hecks, regardless of whether it would be profit, non-profit, or for charity, you can be guaranteed that many people including myself would be up for such a "novel" idea. --Become one with the Point--heheh

Sorry to dig up an old topic, but I was browsing and found this very interesting.

I went to my first ACE event in December and they raffled off some items. The money was giong to a Roller Coaster Museum that is being developed.

If they wanted to do the "Brick" idea, they could donate the money to the Coaster Museum fund.

These 2000 and 1999 topics are looking very old with it now being 2006. Time sure did fly these past 6 years. Now when is it going to be 2007. :)

Wow....I have underwear newer than this thread...and that is saying something.

But Disney had the brick program and, while they sold a lot of them, they didn't sell as many as was expected (to go around the Seven Seas Lagoon).
