Perimeter road sidewalk

I don't know about you guys, but I think that CP should install a sidewalk along premeir road. I think half the fun at CP is driving along the road and looking at all the sights to see. The sidewalk would give you a chance to walk and get up close to MF and MS. What do you guys think?

I don't think there's enough room, personally. The road is close to the rocks and on the other side it's pretty close to the RR in a lot of places.

And, ps, it's Perimeter Road. ;)

I don't think it would work that well. Personally, I'm distracted enough on my way in looking at the coasters and stuff (and point out what is what to newbies that go with me). It's hard enough avoiding traffic much less worrying about pedestrians or those kids with those stupid #$&%@ basketballs.

People don't need to be there. There's absolutely no reason for anyone to be walking back there.

I agree.

Yeah, I can see it now. Someone stupid decides to jump the fence and climb on to MF's track. He decides to show off to his friends that he can jump out of the way before a train hits him. Simple Equation here:

Stupidity + Foot gets stuck + Gets Struck = Major Lawsuit :)

It would be a good idea to have a better walkway from the Blue Streak parking lot to the Marina Entrance. That pedestrian area gets pretty narrow next to the turnpike cars, and can be a little scary with all of the traffic that passes by. Especially when you think about how many of those people are gawking at the rides instead of watching the road.

Now *that* makes sense. There is a pretty good amount of foot traffic there. Elsewhere on the road would be a Bad Idea (TM Rideman).

I'd like to give people enough credit to think they would not jump a barbed/razor wire fence. Anyone who attempts it deserves what's coming to them.

That's not a barbed wire fence at the bottom of the first drop. It's concrete and what appears to be rod iron-like material, which was constructed just before the 2000 season.

But there *is* a barbed wire fence between the road and the park.

Yes, that's true. Anyways, as it has been mentioned before the fool will either jump the fence and get severely injured, or get caught by the CP police.

Oh, I never knew they had a barbed wire fence over there. Sorry about that. I guess no one will be getting in easily then, haha.

Someone could easlily jump onto Gemini or Dragsters track.

Dragster is in the middle of the park, how could someone get on the track from Perimeter road?
