Peanuts Characters

First Off, I know there was a topic that I brought back in the Employee thread about the Peanuts characters, but I decided to start fresh In the general section because no one is going down to that area right now. It's either New for 2015 or General. Anyway, I thought I'd ask When you come to the park, do you have a favorite Peanuts character that you or your kids like to be greeted by? I love seeing Charlie Brown! When I see Charlie Brown, I usually give him a high five! I do the same with Snoopy! Who says your too old for the child in you?

My all-time favorite character is Peppermint Patty! Always has been, always will be.

Shes's the original independent woman that does her own thing.....without caring too much what others think about her.

Patty Rules. :)

IMO, there needs to be a special where the Peanuts gang goes to Cedar Point or some other Cedar Fair park. :) Heck, with the movie coming out in 2015, I wonder if we'll be seeing cross-promotion by CF next year.

I like Schroeder, but I my own special reasoning for this. However, I do also like Charlie Brown.

Snoopy is my favorite. He just reminds me of my little beagle because he's always getting into something or coming around unannounced. I understand Charlie Brown is supposed to be the main character in the Peanuts Gang, but Snoopy is just the Peanuts icon in my eye.

I wish they had the Marcie character. Since that is my name and all.

But since they don't, I have to go with Snoopy.

You know what's strange? I haven't seen her at Cedar Point. I've seen her at Kings Island, but not Cedar Point. Is she there during the Peanuts show during the summer at Luminosity?

I have seen Peppermint Patty walking around with Charlie Brown at Planet Snoopy throughout the summer. So, she is around.

Why is that strange? She's from Cincy.

Promoter of fog.

^That's Interesting. So then where is Charlie Brown from? Sandusky? What about Snoopy? :)

While Charlie Brown's hometown was never mentioned in the strip, it's generally believed that the Peanuts characters reside in Minneapolis. Schroeder once gave his address as one that has a match in Minneapolis, and Lucy once won an award from Hennepin County. Charles Schultz was from the Twin Cities and the kids first appeared in the St. Paul newspaper. So if the Peanuts claim a home park it would be Valleyfair.

I never heard Peppermint Patty was from Cincinnati, but I believe when she was introduced she had moved into the neighborhood, so it's possible.

That's Interesting RCMAC. Thank you for the Info! By the way, Is there a schedule that the Peanuts go by? It's always hard to catch them during the day. In the morning before the park opens, I usually see a couple of them out. Usually Snoopy is always out, but I never see Charlie Brown that much.

You can find most of them hanging out at some point or another almost all day long over at the small amphitheater area in Camp Snoopy...most of the time there is nobody there and they LOVE to interact with people -- especially earlier in the season when there are no kids around...I've sometimes spent 10-15 minutes taking photos with them in the morning and NOBODY else comes around...

Charlie Brown is my favorite Peanut, followed by Linus.

I went to CP with my cousin and her sons on the 31st, and she is a huge fan.

She is in the late stages of ALS and the trip was probably one of the last big outings she will be able to go on. When the characters saw her and her youngest (age 11), they came right over and we got a ton of pictures. It was so neat that they took the time to make her day special.

Does any one know what year it was when they changed the look of the Peanut walkarounds? I always liked the original look better. Also, I have never seen Schroder in the newer attire. Did Franklin replace him? Does anyone know if he is still around?

Arms Down, Head Back, and Hold On!...Arms Down!...Arms Down......

I want to say Planet Snoopy came out in 2008. Also I've seen both Schroder and Franklin at Kings Island. I'm just surprised they don't have pig pen, or the girl that had red naturally curley hair.

Planet Snoopy was new in 2008. Schroeder is still around, but he's at Camp Snoopy more. So both Schroeder and Franklin are still around at Cedar Point.

Hey just curious everyone, How come they don't bring out the Peanuts characters like they do at Kings Island? I see them more often at Kings Island than I do at Cedar Point? I want to see Charlie Brown more!

I see them all the time. Maybe they're avoiding you.

Lol! Seriously though, do they come out during certain times on the midway?
