Unfortunately you cannot use any form of mobile payment at CP.

NFC Payments are not available within the park based on my experience, so Android Pay and Apple Pay do not work.
However...Samsung Pay does work at most locations where you can get near the card reader since it works everywhere. I've used it in stores and at Vending Machines without a single problem. Food stands tend to be harder to use at.
Best bet though, plan on having a card with you. I normally can get by with my Season Pass, ID, and Debit Card in the park.

Given his behavior this morning I might take them up on that. Think I can get a Gold VIP Tour out of him for next season?
I just got into Google Pay and Samsung Pay. I heard that KI accepts at least Samsung pay at many locations. Anyone know if these can be used at CP. I have my pass on my phone and I would really like to just take only my phone into the park.

The Samsung Pay has worked throughout Cedar Point and Kings Island for me for the last couple of seasons. Some of the stands are slightly more difficult to access the card reader, so it's not always the most convenient option. Additionally it is somewhat hit or miss on employee familiarity with the Samsung pay, so again not always the most convenient way to go. That said, it definitely works.
This was just announced a few weeks ago: FreedomPay Announces New DecisionPoint Network Client In The Amusement Parks Industry
I don't quite understand what this involves, but it sounds like ads will be displayed on payment terminals somehow. In any case, Apple Pay is accepted in the DecisionPoint Network, so as far as I can tell, this means we'll now (or soon) be able to use Apple Pay at Cedar Fair parks.
I can confirm that Samsung Pay can be used at CP. I used it at Point Plaza today to make a purchase. This was really handy since I only took my phone into the park. I like that I can only take my phone into the park since I also have my pass on there with the app. Now if only I could use my phone to unlock my car so I wouldn't have to bring in my car keys.

^I can and do unlock and start my 2011 Tahoe using the Onstar app on my phone that I get to use for 3 years for free. Not sure why I get the service for that long. You can be miles away for this feature to work. Also very handy if you are at work and someone needs to get into your car at home. Plus, if you aren't sure if you locked your car once you get in the park, you can double check with the app and lock it, no matter how far away you are. This feature is not available on the 2009 G8 GT. I wouldn't have lost the key to it from my BUTTONED cargo short pocket while riding Magnum on that foggy opening Friday of Halloweekends this past fall. The towing service could not get into my car either. Was very happy they kept the fire pits going until my friend from Detroit showed up at 3am....lol
I can start and unlock my Ram truck with my phone via Uconnect if I were to pay for the service. I’m getting an ad on my radio for the discounted rate of $75 for a year. I need to do some homework and really see what all UConnect does before I pull the trigger. Not sure it’s really worthwhile for coasters because I’d still have to carry my keys. The truck detects the key fob and won’t lock the doors if the fob is inside the truck.
