Patio Relations

Someone I know mentioned that Amusement Business had an article about a new Cedar Point program called Patio Relations. 26 people from Food Services have been hand selected to attend to the needs of guests at all outdoor eating areas. They will greet guests, have conversations and answer any and all questions about the park including park history. They are also required to say "goodbye" to guests leaving the patio area.

This seems like a very nice idea. Does anyone know more about this or has anyone had any experience talking with the Patio Relations people?

Florida may have Disney World and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

I think we encountered a "PR" person outside of C.J. Provision's/Toot Sweets. I didn't really think anything of it until I saw the mention in AB. I just figured it was yet another example of friendly Cedar Point employees.

Yeah it is a new thing they are doing, also the sweeps teams aswell as the patio relations have this book with the facts on Cedar Point. They are collecting questions and whatnot, this is version 1.0 they are just trying it out, then they are going to build it up better as more info goes on. My friend has already stumped them, ask them what was built in '72,73, i believe those were the years he asked. They are hoping to expand this further as the year goes on. Also if the sweeps or PR people are seen giving their books to anyone they are terminated on the spot no questions asked. Next time your there really drill them on CP history.
