Oh i hear alot of truth to that, someone I work with went there a couple years ago I believe and she said if you like to party, you would love it there...I guess it depends what kind of night life you are after ....she said it is a wild time over there , I have never gone so I honestly couldn't give an opinion .

THE BIGGER THE BETTER THE FASTER THE BEST......... COASTERS OF COURSE
The nightlife on Put-In-Bay is awesome! We went there last year with our 5 month old (mistake) it would have been awesome if we went just the two of us.
Party atmosphere all day, but the real partying starts around 8pm.
Highly recommended.
Put-In-Bay is a regional vacation destination. The most common locations people travel to Put-In-Bay from include Ohio, Michigan, Ontario Canada, Pennsylvania, Indiana and West Virginia.
This year the Jet Express ferry service has a boat from Sandusky, making it even more convenient to visit the island if you are at Cedar Point.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I'm a little surprised that they don't do a 1am or even 2am departure from PIB. I would think they could still make a good run that late.

Ride coasters all day then party at night. Does the night life go on every weekend or just sometimes?
It's a party there EVERY weekend in the summer. There is live bands at the "Worlds Longest Bar" and also at the other bars. I stayed at the campgrounds a few years ago and when we woke up the next day, we went past the boat docks and people were already drinking beer at 10am! I've had a blast every time I've been there. Warning: it ain't cheap!
Jeff, many times the Jet does make 1:00am or 2:00am departures, at least to Port Clinton.
They advertise 12:00am, but their policy is to let everyone who rode the Jet stay for the last boat, but still get everyone off the island. So, if a lot of people want to leave at 12:00am, they keep adding later boats until demand runs out.
If you have a 12:00am ticket, you can go to the ticket office at PIB at around 11:30pm and ask when that last boat is. On busy weekends, they will usually have a 1:00am or 1:30am boat, and you can exchange your ticket for free.
EDIT: The Sandusky boat probably doesn't have the demand that the Port Clinton boat does, so I doubt they have later boats to Sandusky, but the later boats hold true for Port Clinton.
