I have a question about parking at CP.
What time dose the parking lot close? I have always had a fear of getting in line for Millie at the end of the night and getting the final ride only to find I have been locked in the parking lot. Dose one stay open longer than the others?
Even if Soak City is closed, can you still park there?
How many cars can you fit at a lighthouse point cabin? My family has to bring three vehicles to the point this summer. Mine, My uncles and my mothers. I will be first there and last to leave.
If at Lighthouse point, where do you park the day you check out if you still want to be at the park afterwards?
Thanks

The parking lot does not close. Hotel guests come and go at all hours of the night. And yes, you can park in the Soak City lot even if the water park is closed.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I would imagine you can just park in the parking lot after you check out since the parking fee gets you on the point, not gives you a parking pass.
The main tollbooth stays open 24-7 throughout the season. They start cleaning the parking lot around midnight on normal closing hours.

The parking lot doesn't exactly close... There's always a way out, the problem is finding a way in. I can't find reference to it, but I seem to recall being told that admittance is for official business only (employees, resort guests, etc) beginning 3 hours after the park closes.
If you're waiting for the last train of the night, you should be fine, as typically is is very rare for a ride to have a 3 hour wait at park close. While untended vehicles are eventually towed, if you're prompt about leaving once your ride is over, you should have no problem at all.
After you check out of Lighthouse Point you will have to park in a standard parking lot, that's the main parking lot or the Soak City parking lot.
Lighthouse Point does not have individual parking spaces for each cabin/cottage. It's communal parking for all Lighthouse Point Resort Guests.

I've been in the park hours after closing (last rides) and I've never had any problems getting out. Sometimes, I've amoung the last cars to leave the lot. But like Doug said, there's always a way out. There was one incident where I had to leave my car in the main parking lot overnight because I lost my keys. I notified security and they said they wouldn't let anything happen to my car and that I could get it the next day no problem.

In May of '03, right after TTD first opened, I waited almost
4 hours for my first ride. The park closed at 8 and I finally
got on about 11:45. We were the last train and the last
people walking out of the park. No problem leaving.
I've never had a problem getting out of the parking lot at night, and it often seems like I am one of the last guests out of the park. I have however, been locked in at the park (at the Magnum/Soak City gate).

There's always a way out of the park as well. If you find yourself in the park so late that the normal gates are closed (though I question why you're there that late if you're not an employee) just find an employee gate and exit that way. If memory serves, there's usually a guard at a small side gate right next to the resort gate for a few hours, just like over at the marina gate.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Thanks.
Anyone know when the first and last shuttles to lighthouse run?
