When I rode late in the evening on Saturday..they completely missed the gate...the gate in front blocked you from getting on your seat when it opened...this kinda dissapointed me...
Yeah, the airgates kind of suck, but at least they have gotten better at running the ride with them. On opening day this year, it took a long time for them to close the gates (I think they forgot about them) and many people were lining up behind the manual access gates. Now the crew seems to have gotten used to them and they have chains blocking the manual gates.
