I wouls like to suggest that the CP/LE railroad be reconfigured out in to the parking lot to serve as a parking shuttle to the main gate. This would serve to alleviate foot traffic in the parling area and would also provide an interesting greeting for incoming guests.. It could circumvent the entire parking lot with mutiple station stops along the way.
What if I told you that trams exist? I suspect the reason CP doesn't have any parking lot people movers is the logistics of navigating the parking lot, and wanting to maximize the amount of parking that they have, not to mention the additional staffing required. And CP already has an interesting greeting for incoming guests. That view from the causeway is unparalleled.

How could you 1. Navigate the track from its current spot out there and 2. Figure out who paid admission or not if it goes all the way back to frontiertown?

Cedar Point has a few issues to work out but I don’t think parking is one of them. The changes they made a few years ago along with the new entrance booths was a good investment. In the busiest of days there will be issues but overall the parking is OK.
I’m not even going to delve into the several hundred logistical issues of taking the train to the parking lot. I am a fan of the Cedar Point train, keep it as is and maintain the Bobeville props, that’s all it needs!
On days that are expected to be on the busy side, they really need to staff the lot appropriately from 9-11 or noon so they don't waste 1/3 of the lot with empty spaces. They used to have an army of kids out there directing people to a spot. Now it's kind of a free for all.

The parking layout isn't optimal for egress. They could learn a lot from the Disney lots, the way they "load" them and the specific paths out.

Traffic control use to be pretty damn at the park, that is until they turned the operation over to Security. That said, I still think they need to bring back the tram lane down the center of the parking lot. Not necessarily for trams but at least for a walking path from the lot to the front. Plus it would separate the main lot into two halves to help with exiting traffic at the end of the night.
After thinking about it if I were a first time visitor to CP the lot could easily be confusing as once you go through the booths there really isn't anything telling you where to go. Since they do not have the workers directing people to a parking spot the lot has way more empty spaces than it used to so my old methods of attempting to judge crowd size based upon how far back people are parking in the lot are obsolete now.
Since I visit CP quite often I know where I want to go and the best way to get there, or at least what I think is the best way. But after you enter the lot are there any signs that direct you to preferred parking or beach parking? I know the entrance lanes direct the beach crowd to the East side of the plaza but once you pass the booths I am not recalling any other signs that direct drivers to the beach or the preferred lot.
The end of the day can be a bit confusing as well, they do have the blue cones out but there isn't much signage telling anyone where to go. The good news is that they do have workers at the bottlenecks at the front and back of the lot directing traffic onto the causeway. The improvements they made a few years ago are definitely beneficial and it is much quicker and easier to get into and out of the park even though they have less staff in the lot to direct people. That might be a good thing as those parking attendants likely have the most dangerous job in the park.
