You're the one who used the words "disgruntled" and "touchy subject".Trust me, if you're going to get disgruntled over 2 hours, you have a very long work life ahead of you!
He's disgruntled over 2 extra hours on top of minimum wage, no overtime, 70 hour work weeks, dealing with extremely annoying people all day, horrible power tripping supervisors and managers, asinine policy changes, and so many stupid rules that at any given time, even the best employee is probably breaking at least 2 of them.
Nobody would be complaining about the 2 extra hours if they didn't feel so horribly treated the rest of the time. Cedar Point is pushing the limits on how badly they can treat their employees and in the coming seasons its really going to start showing.
And you think Cedar Fair has a monopoly on this game? NOT! As I have said many times before.....
1. Get over it.
2. You dont like it? Quit!
3. Better get used to it, because this is the way the real world works!
4. Welcome to adulthood, Mommy and Daddy are not going to be there to hold your hand anymore!
I like everyone's responses to the employee's gripes about staying longer. I work in a service industry and if I ask my employees to stay longer (and I have to ask) it's like asking for their first born child. God forbid we start throwing around the term "mandatory overtime". I swear, our work force is so spoiled these days. Everyone wants as much money as they can get and they want to do a little as they can get away with and management doesn't push it because they are afraid of their workforce organizing....and people wonder why illegal immigrants are taking all the jobs.
