Park Job Faked for Chance at Money

This is funny, I think. Some guy actually convinced the employee working a game to leave "his post", leaving the game open to steal from. I don't think I would leave, the guy didn't have identification to prove he worked there, so I'd rather just be safe than sorry. I read the actual article, and it got kind of annoying. IDK if this has to be done after each paragraph, but to repeat the phrase: according to court records, a counted 15 times is ridiculous. Couldn't they just put an asterisk or something to identify it's what the court records said. Anyway, what does everyone else think about this crime?

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

I think its actually pretty innovative. It's still a crime and stupid, but innovative none the less. I'm wondering a couple things, A) where did they get the employee rain suits from; and B) who in the world would want to spend 4 hours in Lake Erie, I mean, honestly, that's disgusting.

And Michael, I think he was starting this in reference to the news story, not in ignorance of it.

Pretty bold and clever. Or at least clever enough to outsmart one employee.
Anyone that knows someone who works at Cedar Point could easily get rainsuits. I even have a rainsuit that I gave my friend Cash for when she went into wardrobe. They don't even ask for your name or anything when you want to buy the rainsuit with cash vs. a Payroll Deduction.

So all I would have to do is go over to the wardrobe office place and say, I need a rainsuit, here's some cash, and I have an official CP rainsuit? That seems awfully insecure.

The other thing I noticed is that there was 1000 in CASH at a booth game? Isn't there somewhere secure for them to put it? I realize they need money to give out change, but man, you don't need more than 2-300 for giving out change. When you get down to about 50 in singles, give the sup a call. I dunno, I know stores that don't keep that much on hand. When I worked at Family Video, if the total in the tills started to reach about 800 we were supposed to make a run to the bank to get it out of the store.
Anyway, that's just my take on it.

How much are the Cedar Point Rainsuites? Can you hook me up with one?
Seriously, I'll take one, too!

Any similarity in name is purely coincidental.

Before this turns into a "Me too" thread (and no, you're not getting CP rainsuits)...

While my first thought was that it was indeed clever, you then think that they'd have made a grab and dash. I mean, you're a moron if you're going to do that and then stick around long enough to be seen walking over toward Wicked Twister once the guy got back to his post...

The only thing other than CP that Steelers and Browns fans agree on

I agree, Duane, what is the point of walking around in the park. I still can't believe people have nothing else to do but steal things. Drives me crazy!

Eagle, I agree. They say that WAY too much.

If you buy anything from waredrobe, you need to show a current CP employee I.D., even when paying in Cash. I bought several things last year this way and had to do this.

The older rainsuits are not anything special though, they are not unique to CP.

I don't know why the person would leave thier post to someone not even wearing an I.D. that they did not know.

An employee had a rainsuit on Ebay about 3 weeks ago they said was an extra they had. The picture in the auction was sort of humorous, it had a pic of the person on the midway with their face blurred wearing the suit. I couldnt see owning anything like that for the concern of appearing as an employee or an impersonator, but it just shows there's more than one way someone could find one if they were determined.
