Park Cuts A Week Off the Operating Season in 2007

I'm exaggerating, but I miss the old days of the park being open to 11:00PM every day in the summer and midnight on the weekends.

"Old Days?" In the 70's we turned out the lights promptly at 10:00 PM every night with the exception of July 4th, when we did stay open untill midnight. Those were the "Old Days".

Maybe CP just wants to open the park the day maverick opens or its just a type O!

I highly doubt we will see 9 pm closings every night...but maybe that isn't such a far-fetched idea. Look at PKI's 2006 schedule compared to that of 2005...there are some major differences.

Guys, does anyone have any info on any new coasters that will go 300ft in 08? or 07? any rumors? any news?

I heard that they were opening a week later, and that they are going to add another bonus weekend at the end of the season.
if i remember correctly there are 6 halloweekends now, and next year there is supposed to be 7.

Good question. From what I understood the season was just going to start a week later, and end a week later... and there would be 1 more Halloweekend.
So I guess they'd turn one of the bonus weekends into a Halloweekend?

Yikes. Good luck to them. The weather is already pretty dicey on the last weekend as it is.

The season won't extend into November. I think there would be a revolt from the full-time staff. :) An addition to HalloWeekends would come at the expense of a Bonus Weekend.
