Park confirms villain will be fixed.

I only road XFlight once and I got all bruised up and didn't really care for it, but I really liked Steel Venom. I agree that it doesn't look good in the front of the park with HS intertwined in it

Its true Xflight wasnt the best coaster to some, but the thought of steel venom being removed should have never been thought of. I understand it takes a lot of money to operate, but its better than a whole side of the park being an abonded grass and dirt lot. Knowing GL they will probally add on to thier already big parking lot. Excuse my bitter I'm still a little upset about the coaster removals.

3rd year TL at Geauga Lake (home of....... a big pond?)

As much as I hate the entire situation, as I too am very bitter of removals of rides, I feel it's for the best. The park has stated hat it has a 3 and a 5 year plan. I think that the removals were needed, so that hopes for ANY new attraction could be magnified. I can't wait for this summer, should be interesting.

I concur. The X-flight being gone was a shock at first to me, because that was the only ride with a constant 1hr possibly+ wait when I would go to Geauga Lake. However I am alot more distraught over the removal of Steel Venom. Then again, the last trip I took to GL, they were having alot of trouble running it. It broke down atleast 4x while I was in line. I don't know, perhaps there are big plans in the works for the Lake but so far? I would think they would atleast take measures to boost attendance before making alot of guests angry with the removal of some great rides. Oh and on a side note? *crosses fingers* Death to Headspin x-x

They have to keep Headspin, or there won't be any Crap left in the Corner.

Okay, I'll be serious. Even though it's not that great of a ride, GL would be ill served to ditch Headspin any time soon. I know the GP are these bovine-like, grazing animals with their heads up their asses more often than not, but if the park pulls out one more coaster, somebody's gonna notice.

Actually, thats a good point. However, they could always make Thunderhawk their headlining coaster. With its neck-snapping jerks, and mosquito ridden ques; Its a shoe-in for representing just how great Geauga Lake is! xD

oh yeah...GL's going down in flames...except for the waterpark. Perhaps I should invest in learning how to swim if I am too lazy to make the 2hr drive to the point or 3hr drive to PKI. Thats all thats going to be left eventually... :P

.::"The bird of the Hermes is my name; eating my wings to make me tame..."::.

Actually I think Dominator will be the headlining coaster ;).

Re-track - Track would be the thing that the trains run on. "Re" would mean to do over again. Not difficult.

Just got off Villian. Doesn't seem too fixed to me.

Bummer. I was kind of looking forward to bumping that coaster to my 'A' list.

Oops. I probably shouldn't use the term 'bumping coasters' in a Cedar Fair thread today. ;)

Maybe they just fixed it in other places where stress was being done to the trains instead of fixing part of the bumpiness of the whole ride experience. That's Ok though because I don't ride it that much when I do visit Geauga Lake. I always thought Ragging Wolf Bobs was more comfortable especially with the new trains that just recently put in like a couple years ago. By the way I've hit post 1500...YAY!!!!

Yeah, Jason, he and I both rode it last year and the only improvement we could see was to the trick track.

If you want to call it an improvement. :)

I may be there tomorrow, and will try to get a ride. I haven't been on Villian in about 5 years.

Beware the grinding and squealing inthe turnarounds. A little better than last year, but like Loopy said, only because of the trick track, which I never really minded that much anyway.
