Hey, if that's your thing, more power to you.
If that wasn't your intention, then I'm not sure I see what you're after other than the idea that you were right and the park was wrong.

I'm surprised they have not banned me from the park since everything goes wrong when I'm there. If they are reading they are like "he was there during the cable snap, he made the power go out, keep him out!"

I rode Gemini more than once during a day.
CP had little control of the power going out, much like the weather. Now of course they did not have to do anything concerning guest relations into the matter. I think they went above and beyond guest relations by keeping Magnum and Raptor open an extra hour. they could have very easily just have closed the park like normal which is what I expected them to do. However they did not and because of their Generous actions I has a great time. They sacrificed a little extra money to make people happy leave pleased, and maybe have them come back again.

So if you missed three hours and got a raincheck, what happens if you only missed two hours? What if you missed an entire day, is that worth two free tickets? What if you bought a combo ticket to Soak City/CP? Do you get a free combo ticket in return?
What should the resort guests get since they checked in on Friday night? A discount on their room?
I think it is easier for the park to just deal with the people at guest relations who take the time to complain or the people who write letters once they get home. If 5,000 people were in the park and 10% took the time to complain, then 500 people will get some sort of compensation.
The other 4,500 people understand that it sometimes rains on your parade.
Being several hundred miles away from the Point, I can't check this out, but I would guess that Cedar Fair reserves the right to make changes to operating hours without notice. You buy a ticket, you're playing by their rules.

Agree. I think Six Flags WOA outclassed CP in this one. Like what CP did when the power went out, they did not have to do anything either . Both had the same situation. WOA had people standing at the exit gates handing out tickets. Cedar Point had nobody at the gates. I'm not saying CP should have handed out tickets too, and actually I was thinking something a little less would have been nice. Coupons or whatever would cost them nothing except paper and could have went a long way in Guest Relations. Usually they even have people at the gate saying good-bye. In this case they had nothing.

Worse, at 7:30 as we're walking out the park, they are still charging people $24 to go into a closed park for an hour and half. Talk about ripping people off!
