Cedar point hasn't returned my email.. How does parent swap work? Can the other parent take someone with them or do they have to be a single rider? Can we swap multiple times per coaster or just once each?
From the cederpoint.com help section.
Parent Swap
We know Parents like to have fun, too. And we’ve got the greatest collection of thrill rides anywhere. To make it easy for Mom and Dad to ride too, we offer the Parent Swap program. Here’s how it works: one parent waits in line to a coaster or other height-restricted ride. After riding, they give their Parent Swap pass to the ride operator, and the other parent/guardian, who’s been taking care of the little ones, can walk up the exit to get right on the ride.
To participate in Parent Swap, parents need to obtain a slip to authorize them for the program at one of the following locations: Guest Services (at the main gate); Town Hall Museum; Resort Entrance Gate (near Magnum).
Also when we used it in 2014, you could only do it swap at a time. For example, one parent would ride Millennium Force then swap tthem belt the other parent ride. The first parent couldn't ride Millennium Force, Maverick, and Gatekeeper while the other parent hung out for a couple hours with the kids in Camp Snoopy, then swap off giving the other parent 3 quick rides with no wait.
Another note, if you have one kid big enough to ride and one little guy, the big kid could ride with both parents. Not sure if that's still the case.

My wife and I do the parent swap. In the morning we go to customer service office with our children and receive a parent swap sheet with everyone's name written on it (everyone needs to be present to receive the sheet). After the first parent rides the ride, s/he hands the sheet to the closest ride operator upon exiting the train and the ride op initials it, verifying that the first parent waited in line and rode the ride. The second parent, the one who was watching the kid, will walk directly through the exit, at some point during the day, and hand the previously initialed parent swap sheet to a ride op who will then allow that parent entry on the ride and provided a second signature.
Whenever we've gone to a cedar fair park with other couples they've always had children too. So, each family always had a separate swap sheet. I don't know cedar point's policy for scenarios in which two couples visit the park together but in which only one of those couples has kids. You'll have to ask at customer service.
Tall and fast not so much upside down...

Also, the sheet has space for three rides on each roller coaster. Although we've never used the parent swap on any ride more than once per day.
