Painting Tubular Steel Track

if they painted the rails wouldent it just get scraped off after a short time?
hothitz,

If you look at MF, the whole track is blue, except the spots where the wheels run. That is basicly what will happen if you paint the rails.

I'm so glad they are finaly painting the coasters, finaly, we get to see them back to their orignal awsomeness.

IncLine LoOpEr if you have ever seen the MF track up close the sections that the wheels touch the track were NEVER painted the same color blue that the rest of the track was painted. They were painted seperatly.

From the way it looks, the track of MF seems to have been coated with some sort of special substance where the wheels come into contact with the track. It looked like a rough texture where the grey was compared to the smooth texture of the blue paint and the grey paint of the supports.
I know that was'nt from wear and tear, but I was using it as an example, since alot of people can relate. I should have used a differnt coaster, but hey.
