Wow, those poor people who live in Sandusky must have had record snows this year, I see that the snow pile still has not melted. Do you think it will still be there opening day? There is nothing as pretty as a pile of filthy snow, a sure sign of spring on the North Coast.
Look at the date and time on the webcam. It is an old picture from March 26. The snow and snow piles are gone.
It also says above the camera "*The PagodaCam is currently experiencing technical difficulties. Service will resume as soon as possible."

Yeah, just kidding. I've seen the same view for a couple of weeks. Maybe that is the site of the new Super Space Needle they are putting in.
I am excited opening day will be here soon and be able to be there in person!
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs
Cute little Stop sign on the Pagoda cam. Traffic issues when the park is closed?

Lots of activity around the park right now. Dont need a dumb accident.

That ends up being a high traffic intersection - both foot and vehicle.
Does anyone know what is happening on the pagoda cam right now, there are police and a bun of people all over the place and laying on the ground.
If I had to take a guess, I'd say they were doing some kind of emergency drill. I know many places, including almost every school, practice an "active shooter" drill. I could be wrong but it would make sense. I'm just going by what you said about a bunch of police and people laying on the ground.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
Insider intel says they were practicing for the mass crowds that are expected for Scrambler\Matterhorn. Police are often dispatched to these rides known for mass ridership and sssslllloooowwwww loading.Purple car please!
Wow, I guess I never really thought of an active shooter scenario at CP. If they were indeed doing a drill, that is a good thing! Can never be too careful these days, sadly.
