Out of curiosity....

Now I don't know about anyone else but the highest I ever saw the radar at was 130mph.

Highest I've ever seen was 124 mph. If you did see 130 mph, I'm going to assume that was during testing and not during regular operation?

I have a picture of it going 128m.p.h. and a few launches before that I saw it go 134m.p.h! and yes it was a test in the morning before they let people in the queue.

I believe I saw it while people were in the park. Because ever so often I would be put on the register that faced towards the sign. And I remember just looking over and seeing 130mph.

The sign was removed when the cable broke. The cable was wrapped around parts of the building. That is the only reason it was removed.

Since this is "Out of curiosity," I want to know if anyone else is desperate for May. I'm desperate for summer because one, Cedar Point, and my parents and a few family members get to go ride Dodonpa! I'm really scared. We just like to travel, so we somewhere different every year.

i wanna ride dodonpa!

anyways, i think that they did do a little wiring with speed clock though so that if it does go under 120 it clicks off. after it made its triumphant return, you could watch launches and one would launch and say like 122 and stay there for quite some time, but others would say 122, then 121, 120 and then click off.

also the highest launch i saw was 127. also note i've seen 124 rollback and 116 make it over. oh so many variables you got to love it!

I dont mean to change the subject but this is something I had out of Curiosity. Is Cedar Point not lighting their lights for Christmas this year? I would have thought they would have them on by now. Kind of makes me sad, I enjoyed seeing the park all lit up again.

Calypso how could you see 116 make it over if it turns off at 120? Just curious :)

Chris, I'm not sure. Again since this is out of curiosity, when I'm on drops and launches, they seem to take longer to complete when you're on the ride, than when you are watching. Does anybody know why this is and if so, is it a common thing? Is it phsycological, or physicall? Thanks.

By the way, since Dodonpa is up for me , what should I expect? I mean, I was dying on Dragster's launch.

Hey! I haven't said anything like "hello." I signed up over a month ago and haven't greeted yet. Well any way hello, hola, ciao, ni hao, ohyo, bonjuor (you get the point.)

earlier in the season, before the major downtime at the end of June.

Um, I just built the Rippin Rocket, could anyone tell if there is a way to make brakes and rollback brakes? Your help is appreciated.
