Orange marks

This may be a question with a simple answer, but I don't know it. There are lots of orange markings on the cement on the midway, some even as far as to the bathrooms by Magnum. What exactly are these for? I don't think they are for footers. Pouring new cement blocks, or what? Thanks.

Not all marks are electricity, you still need water and sewer to hose down the ride after people chunk getting off the ride....;)

Some marks point out survey rods in the ground to accurately mark reference points.

They are survey marks for the footers over in the construction area. Each mark has a couple numbers next to them: one referring to a distance from the footer and the other referring to the footer number. From what I saw on Saturday, the footer numbers were decreasing from the mid-30's down to 12. Footer 12 was in front of Hat's-n-Such. My guess is that footer 1 will be in front of the Himalaya.

Scott, I didn't pay attention this Sunday. did they have a letter in front of the number? On my MF plans, footer 1, assuming A01 is footer 1, is the first footing of the brakerun. Footings beginning with the letter A are the brakerun and station. Transfer track footings read B01 etc.

The only thing I'm thinking is footer 1 may not be station or launch. It could be the beginning of the brakes and then a turn into the station or something like that. Just trying to put my dusty blueprints to work.

I didn't notice any letters like that. The basis for my theory is that CP tends to label their supports starting near the station (see the numbers near the bottom of the ID supports or the metal numbers nailed on the Gemini or CCMR supports). I would imagine the same trend to continue for Project2003.
