opinonis of mean streak

ive wonderd what people think of the mean streak or what should be done to it. it has got rough over the years and gets sections of it retracted every few years. what should be done to it? option#1 all of the ride gets topper track with new trains, and make the banks shorter and steeper. option#2 tear down and an build a intamin, gci or rmc wooden coaster option#3 texas giant treatment from rmc. im just wondering whats your opinon on the mean streaks future. so what would you guys like to see happen to the mean streak?

In 2005, I said to myself I will never ride it again. This year, someone talked me into riding it again. It's alot smoother and now I go on it every time I'm in the park.

i rode it last year it was still very rough and whats it like now? how much smoother is it?

Sit toward the middle, I found the back to be rougher. It doesn't throw your head around. In 2005, my neck hurt for a couple days after riding it.

I've had a couple trim free rides and just that was an amazing difference. I had one this season that was just down right awesome. I would be happy if they would/could just run it the way it was run when it was new.

All I have to say is front seat is worth the wait for smoothness.

Option #4: Do nothing but the bare minimum to keep it operating to save money.

Option #5: Use spellcheck.

I rode it front seat on 7/30 and had a great ride! They should leave it the way it is.

Ive ridden Mean Streak on every one of my visits to the park this year. It is much smoother than it has been in recent years but that doesnt mean i think its more fun. In my opinion, its still a long, drawn out, extremely boring ride. There is no airtime, no g forces, and not a whole lot of speed because the first drop is trimmed to death. Id like to see a total overhaul similar to Texas Giant or Iron Rattler with lots of airtime, ample sustained speeds, and overbanked curves.

I rode it like 8. Years ago and it got my back, but I did like airtime, yes I felt plenty of airtime and g forces.

I've always loved Mean Streak and usually have been able to marathon it. Never found it as bad as everyone makes it out to be until the 2011 season. The jackhammering in the dip between the 2nd and 3rd hill was too much for me to marathon it. Never got to the Point last season bit whatever they did to it in this past off-season...I never felt it so smooth before. ALMOST felt like a trimless ride.

I think its as bad as Hercules and SOB were and we all know what happened to those 2 coasters!:)

I think Mean Streak is a decent ride, but as others have said, it's too drawn out and boring. I would love to see RMC get to work on this one...

Hercules isn't like mean streak, cedar fair killed that coaster, it was amazing, just not taken care of properly, adding trim brakes also killed that one, but I've also heard meanstreak is better without its trim brakes too

The difference in Mean Streak with & without the trims is like night and day. Sometimes you're lucky enough to crest the lift and see the trims wide open-it's a fantastic ride without them. They don't seem to be grabbing quite as hard on the first drop this season as they had been in years past.

I stopped riding it after I had back surgery in 2006. I keep debating trying it again but havent so far. I do ride pretty much every other roller coaster

Well, looks like there is multiple opinions, that shocks me. You go to six flags alot( where it's always rough from what I hear) you may not mind the roughness, if all you go to is cp or ki, you may not like it. If they were to tear it down, to make a better one in its place how? Where? It'd take up almost all of Frontiertown, not to mention taking down Maverick. So if when you say tear it down and replace one in its place, I'd be interested in knowing how. If u make a woodie somewhere else and put a major ride in its place though, maybe?

I wouldn't mind Mean Streak and Gemini getting tore down for one giant amazing intamin woodie.
