Hi all, few questions. I was going to look at booking a suite for opening day next year and had a few questions:
Does the hotel open a few days early for accomodations? Ideally I'd like to stay there for the first rider auction, OSU day, and into opening weekend. However, I'm not sure if it opens legit day one with the park or if I can settle in and just stay on peninsula as much as possible.
Also, I know I've asked before but didn't get much traction but maybe another year adds some more clarity. Has anyone here stayed in a Rotunda Room and cares to share their thoughts?
Lastly, the concierge suites, any thoughts there?
I'm extremely open to ideas involving a stay at Breakers. Ideally I want to stay in a nicer room for the opening weekend and make this the first large vacation of the year we have planned. I figured rooms would be available currently but it looks like nothing is set next season yet anyways. I'm just trying to get a good game plan ahead of the curve so I can get a good room and get all the expenses for it paid down in advance so all we have to do is show up that weekend.
Thanks guys!

Not sure when the hotel opens for their first day. However, I have stayed in a rotunda room and oh my gosh is it worth it. They are totally refreshed like the rest of the hotel; (I used to stay in the bon-air rooms when I’d go for halloweekends). Also, you can see the lake from your room if you’re on the 4th or 5th floor. Concierge, don’t know, as I’ve never stayed on the 10th floor, but hoping too at some point. Hope this helps.
Rotunda rooms are worth the lack of elevator wait time alone, there are basically two elevators that only serve the handful of rooms in the rotunda.
Rotunda Bonus: proximity to surf lounge and Starbucks.

We have stayed at The Breakers( and Sandasttle Suites) many times. Closing weekend is the first time we were ever able to reserve a Rotunda Room. Ours was Lakeview, on the 4th floor. Loved it, and would recommend it. We have never tried the Concierge floor, but may sometime this year, if a Rotunda Room isn't available. I want to check out the new tower, as well.
