Normally, I would say that you can never predict crowds. However, I'd imagine that Opening Weekend will be extremely crowded, as it's reported in many trip reports...
Trip reports don't mean anything. I go through the turnstiles maybe 8-12 different times in a season, but only write 1-2 TRs max: opening day (if something interesting happened) and one summary of our "big summer" visit.
The weather forecast looks good, and that will tend to increase the crowds. We'll see how effectively the opening weekend marketing plan ($50 off at Breakers, fireworks) works out.
Me too, I'm there the following weekend and hoped the fireworks would be delayed untill then.
Oh, well...much fun still awaits! :)

Saturday will be busy, I think the weather will be nice. This is why I wait and go Sunday evening, stay thru that first week (walk-ons) and don't go home till the fun wears off. (Ok, which is never. My boss finally has to come up and drag me out kicking and screaming.)
This year, actually, we'll probably stay till Wednesday, home for a day, then off to Lake Winnie and Dollywood, two parks I've never visited. I've been so looking forward to next week, and now it's almost here.
Here's to a fun season ahead. I'm sure we'll have a great time at C.P. and I know you all will too, whenever you decide to visit.
I'm the oldest one here. CP emp '73-'74
