After a while, you learn that those 7 day forcasts are usually not right and change about mid-week. Of course, I would agree that it wouldn't be that great of a day if it rained since everyone at the park won't leave like the GP always does when it rains!
Are you talking about AAA day or May 13th?
the 7th. I should have named this AAA day weather. And I know those 7 day forcasts are never right but for people who real borderline on whether or not to go on AAA day might have something else to concider.

Criminal apple juice?
I don't mind a slight threat of rain. It keeps people home, and I'm all for that!

I have found this page from the National Weather Service pretty good. It only gives you a perspective relative to averages, but it seems to work out well most of the time if you are trying to figure out park trips 6 to 10 days in advance. It is updated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

The MRF MOS computer model, which many 7 day forecasts are based on, is actually pretty good at detecting trends. For instance, the model is forecasting 76 for a high on Saturday and 72 for a high on Sunday with a slightly below chance of rain. Will it actually be those exact temperatures this weekend? Probably not. But with temperatures now in the low to mid 60's, the trend to warmer weather for the weekend is probable.

Speaking of the weather forcasts being wrong, I went to the Sandusky weather channel on the internet for a week before I went to CP last year. And every day it said it would be sunny and 60's until the day I went. i checked it again that day and it said T-storms 50's. My heart sunk because I didn't want a stormy day at the point. But it turns out that it didn't rain the whole day, and it was 70's out. The only time it had a chance of raining was when some really dark clouds popped up and then blew by.
I found that even one day forecasts arent' that relaible. I remember last year they said threat of rain almost every day and we had perfect weather
