I don’t think the speed was changed at all, but I only had 1 ride on it so far. The train is still hitting the same spots on the 1st and 2nd launches as it did last year. Of course there can be variances of a few feet or so from train to train but overall they reach the same spots. You still feel like you’re getting whipped around the spiral going up. Another major difference is I did not notice any shaking which was very noticeable last year.
If the weather was suboptimal, I don't imagine people were as motivated to go.

The weather is definitely rough, if it weren’t for the fact I had already requested vacation days from work and booked a room at Breakers I wouldn’t be here now. It’s still fun though and we’re glad to be back. We still have the entire season to ride the rides. Overall the staff has been great and in general folks are in a good mood despite mother natures typical northern Ohio weather.
There were more people there yesterday than I expected.
The weather seems even worse today, so I'm staying home.
I left before TT2 was running.
I did catch Judy K as she made her first trip of the season.
And despite the wind and rain, Sky Ride was running. It did shut down for about 10 min while I was on it, so that was fun.
What a weird spot. I've seen it go slowish through the last turn, but never in danger of not making it. And yeah, that's a long stretch of level track to Ocean Motion through. Either they're using an unproven wheel material or something out of line caused a lot of friction.

At the time of the valley, the feels like temperature on my phone showed 37 degrees with wind gusts of 38mph. It had been cycling for a while after the worst of the wind died down and I think they were trying their best to get it open, even for the last hour or so of the day. I think it just happened to catch a gust at the wrong time.
Magnum never even tested yesterday. Raptor and Gatekeeper both tried to open, but were closed again within an hour. Pretty much everything else ran all day. Given the weather and the wind they actually had everything open that they could, which was nice to see.
XS NightClub:
Is the speed dumbed down that now it barely makes it over the top hat?
From the videos I've seen from this weekend, it appears the trains are cresting the top hat quite a bit slower than they were last year and earlier this spring during testing of the new trains. What's not clear is if that is intentional, or a consequence of the weather.
