Opening Day 2006

When is opening day 2006? Also, does anyone have the 2006 schedule yet?

It may be a little early to start talking about this.

If I had to guess I'd say first weekend in May, but yeah I agree with kylepark.

Sadly, it's too late for some of us to be talking about it. The fiscal year at my job begins June 1, so when we do bidding for vacations, CPs opening day falls during the last few weeks of the year, so it's difficult to get time off around that weekend, especially when I never know for sure when opening day is. I currently only have 1 unscheduled vacation day, and most of May is already taken for vacation. Just in case anybody cares. ;)

So when does the season operating schedule usually come out?

A few days/weeks after the close of the current season.

Pointbuzz tailgate partay outside the main gate at 8am! Its gotta be better then the pointbuzz party outside of MF yesterday, I think I was the only one asking people for their handles lol.

Opening day is May 6th. The schedule usually comes out around Thanksgiving.

It will be better than the MF party because there won't be anything to argue over either! :)

Heh. I wonder when my schools Prom is, they have a bad habit of putting opening day and prom on the same weekend. Therfore, i'll probably go mid week the following week.

Pffft. CP is more important than a silly dance.

That, unfortunately, is what perpetuates the stereotype of the enthusist. All rides, no dates.

Kyle, go to the dance and have a good time. CP will be there the next day, the prom won't.

Agreed...Steady girls are here today, but cedar point is here to stay.

I'd probably take Cedar Point over my school's prom any day, as long as my girl friend/date is with me. My school's proms suck, so I would even consider going up to Fort Wayne to see a midnight release of Chronicles of Narnia over the prom.

But yeah, opening day is the 6th, and look for beach balls in the MF line. :)

In retrospect I would have to say that I would have had more fun at the point than at my prom...
