Has opening day for 2002 been announced, or do we have to wait for that now?

Mother's Day? I could have sworn that I went to the park in 2000 on Tuesday, May 8, but maybe not.  I would expect to find all of that out early in 2002....

I remember Jeffrey Spartan saying something about this a few weeks ago - I think it was something like Opening Day is Saturday May 4th and then the park is open only on weekends until either Monday May 20th or Monday May 27th.  But not sure...

Opening day is officially May 5th this year.  This comes from a very reliable source.

Well I'm kinda talking about the public opening day... from what I hear, the first weekend is taken by some odd group... but then again it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the weekend after May 5th...

I know what you are thinking, MillenniumRider - that "odd group" is the Longaberger (I have no idea on that spelling) Basket Co.  They have a "corporate outing" at CP every year, and last year it was Saturday May 5th, the day before the public Opening Day of Sunday May 6th.  So I guess the same will happen this year - the Basket Co. gets the park Saturday May 4th and the GP gets the park Sunday May 5th.

I forgot about Longaberger day.  My girlfriend's mom is a Longaberger dealer.  I wonder if I can get her to get me tickets.  I'm assuming they're having it again.  Go that day and Opening Day.  Sweet.

I think Basket Day is gonna be the 11th of May this year with opening day the weekend or sunday before(the 5th)....then the park will open daily starting the 18th..The 1st couple weekends are just that..Weekends only...We'll jsut have to see

sky kicker is right opening day is may,5th but last year cp opened on may,6th i went on opening day last year

Hey gang, according to the season pass renewal form that I got in the mail, Closing Day is Sunday, October 27th, while a general ticket price has jumped to $42.00. As far as opening day, it simply says "early May"...
