Opening Day?

Who's going on May 7th? Of course, I am. For the first time I am staying in a resort (Breakers!) so I get to go in early with the rest of you Joe Cools.

Im going and getting in early with joe cool!

I will be working most likely on Opening Day, I will probably be at Blue Streak. My name tag will say Michael Thorne, but call me LeGrand its my middle name.

I wouldn't miss it. I changed my original plans of staying at the Breakers Express on opening night to using the discount "fireworks" coupon for the Hotel Breakers. If I calculate correctly this should be my 29th opening day attended.

I'm not staying the night, but I'm arrving around 8/8:30 am to the park on opening day. I can grab a doughnut or something until I make a mad dash for TTD or maXair. I haven't decided which I want to ride more yet. I'll save MF for the afternoon with a freeway stamp, and probably get one for TTD also. I hope to see some pointbuzz members at CP :D

Just found this site-so exicted to find others who enjoy Cedar Point as much as I do!

My family and I haven't ever been for Opening Day but we purchased season passes this year so we'll be there on May 7th-staying at The Breakers.

I'll be there for the 3rd consecutive year.

For the first time, I will be going on opening day, whether it's weather-permitting or not. I may even go back on Sunday. Of course, this depends on gas prices and my cash flow at the time.

How crowded is opening day?? I haven't gone to one in 3 years.

It's variable just like any other day, when Dragster opened it ended up with like a 6hour line. We only are getting a thrill ride this year, but opening day has moved to a saturday, so if it doesnt rain, it is likely to be a fairly crowded day. Crowded or not it is worth the trip to end the off season.

I've never been to a CP opener, but just know that there's going to be A LOT of season-passers and enthusiasts. I HIGHLY doubt that it will be as crowded as a June or July day. Saturday is a factor, most people will go on a saturday. I remember SFGAm S:UF (2003) opening day, and it was DEAD. (Well, not dead, but fun.) I'm mostly going because I'll be at media..

Last year wasn't too bad (although I can't really compare it to other opening days as it was my first). We waited a total of 45 minutes for dragster, and maybe an hour for Millenium. Those were our longest waits of the day.

Im so jealous, I have to wait until JUNE, lucky Opening Day riders. Sit aorund watching people ride maXair on the webcam. The horror!

This will be my 3rd opening day in a row and ever!!! its fun going on opening day!!! i tried doing both opening day and closing day, but i didn't get to go to last years closing day.

I'm in the same prediciment. Just cant decide:). Maybe I'll sucker one of my friends to take some pictures of maXair's opening ceremony for my photo album.
I just want to get to Dragster as quick as possible

Also, I'll be there at the park just as early as you(being a Joe Cool Club member). Look for a black Dragster shirt, black Dragster hat and a pair of black flame sunglasses(if it's a sunny day) and maybe we just might see each other. I'll be at Dragster first.....obviously.:)
We should have a pointbuzz union where members(whoever wanted to go) gather at some spot on___day/month at _:00, just to say hi and what not.....Just an idea.

I was just wondering how bussy is the park on opening day? Is it worth going or will you have to wait a long time for rides? My other question is when is the best time to go before kids get let out of school? If you can give me a date or aprox. day of the week. Thanks
