Opening Day?

With opening day now less than 4 months away, How many GTTPers are planning their first trip of the millennium to Cedar Point for opening day? I am all prepared for the trip! I've never been there for the first day though. How busy does it usually get? I imagine that it gets pretty bad in there.

Wish I could! My probably one and only trip this year will have to be later!

Well I went on opening day for the 99 season, it wasnt that bad. But last year with MF opening it was a mad house. It all depends on if there are new rides the weather and all the other things. I dont know if I will go on opening or not. It still seems long away.

I am going to Opening day, and counting down the days too. lol. Last year it was a mad house, I agree, but the lines wer'nt all that bad except for MF and Raptor, the usuals.

Usually opening day is not that bad, its no saturday in the middle of july attendance, because most of the kids are still in school. The only thing is it can get kind of chilly there.

I'll be there openning day. MF brought more people openning day last year. The park was up and running like a day in June, but not too busy otherwise. Now go on a Wednesday in the first two weeks and you can move pretty quick through the park.

Thanks guys for the input guys. I'm lookin more foreward to it everyday. I went tobogganing tonight, and it was fun and all that jazz. The slope was only about 45 degrees, but still got some nice speed going down. I just figure, if thats the closest I'm going to come to a real rollercoaster in January, then bring it on!

I've been there the past 4 years for Opening Day, and the only "bad" year was last year with the opening of Millennium Force. I'm expecting a little below average crowds (in relation to the average day in the season). The weather plays a huge factor, though. So, if it is 50 degrees and cloudy, crowds will be low. ;)
