open on low cloud days?

What is the possibility of this thing running if the clouds are near the 350-400 level. imagine disappearing into the cloud and reappearing halfway thru the 270'. the height of this thing has got to be enough to have a little different weather than the ground. thoughts?
I've ridden Power Tower, MF, and Space Spiral on low cloud days.

Nothing prettier than sitting on the top of the drop side of Power Tower, looking around and the only things you see are the top of MF and the top of Space Spiral.

Would be a pretty neat ride if you ask me.

I dont really think it will matter. Not much is at risk while you are in-ride especially the top as it has no real mechanical influences. Good point though.
As long its not windy or rainning or lighting it is a possiblilty.

Someone help me i'm in denial about Project 2003.

Fog on the Power Tower is pretty amazing. Haven't gotten to ride the Millennium Force yet in the fog.
I was thinking from a mechanical perspecstive, internal cloud lightning being an issue. But am more interested in the visual effect of riding immeresed in a cloud. imagine having no idea where the top is. You might get wet though which would be great in august but suck in may.
Wow, can you imagine the awesome photo oppportunities with the top of the ride up in the clouds!

"Wheres the Callahan factory?!?!?"

I would be even cooler if the on-ride photo section was on the top of the tower, good times
I'm sure that CP's THOR system would pick up any possible lightning in the area, and take the appropriate action in the case of internal cloud lightning. Nothing to be worried about.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of # 16, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

"Low cloud" days are great !! It's a whole different ride. Clouds and fog does not seem to bother the coasters. It's the wind, rain and lightning they don't like. Project 2003 will be one heck of a trip on low cloud days.

That would be really cool. It would really be like your on top of the world, roller coasters wise so to speak.

Turkeys, the only animal smarter than man

i think that would be great, not seeing the top of the coaster from the line... same thing from the top looking out... actually you wouldn't see much from the station if it was THAT foggy out...

Got One?? Yeah, it's a metallica thing.
Love ya tiffers, always will.

this actual gets back to an earlier post i made about theming this thing with fighter wings on the cars and going and up up and away into the clouds.
kinda sounds like the making of a stephen king novel, coaster disappears into the clouds on the way up and comes down everyone is dead and nobody saw what happened.

ive never been or herd about the rides going into the clouds when is the most likely day that it happens after rain or what?

------------------
It's Screaming Eagle muwhahaha

if its just cloudy out... there wont be a problem.

Its wind/lightning/rain theyll have to worry about.

I rode MF on a Halloweekends Friday night. The fog from Fright Zone was settle over the track after the first overbank turn and before the tunnel. It was awesome not being able to see the track because it was so foggy.

"I bet it pulls 5 G's going into that loop."
"Far Out."

lightning-- bad hard rain--- bad cold--- bad . Low clouds and fog GOOD.

It would make a good king novel tho. What if the whole train disapeared and reapered next season??

I'm not an old fogey, I'm just an old coaster rider..
