You know those silly Japanese and their safety.
Its not so much safety as it is superstition. Whenever the next YotD comes around it will probably reopen. So look for it to sit idle until 2012.
I pick Jr. Gemini to be down within a couple weeks.
Goodbye MrScott

just FYI, the guy from Intamin was still around as of yesterday. He is slowly programming it back so they can get the old intervals. Maybe some of you noticed that the MF intervals were really off? They have been working on it from close to 5am the last few nights and hopefully today was their last early morning prgramming it.
Way to go CP, Intamin, and MF workers!
I noticed the lift was not speeding up at the top and I believe the catch car was coming back down slower as well. As a result, the catchcar was not in proper position when the crew was ready to send the next train. I hope Intamin can get it right because it's really slowing the crew down. Thankfully, Sunday was not overly busy so the line still wasn't too bad.
All of this kind of makes me wonder if there's any way to "back up" the configuration of the ride. I mean having to reprogram things after a problem sounds a little bit like BS to me. I realize we're not talking about word documents and hard drives here, but devices like Cisco routers and switches let you dump the configuration to a text file so that you can always get it back rather quickly in the event of a failure.

From what we were told during the Coastermania Q&A, the reason it needed reprogramming was because the new lift motor they installed was not quite identical to the old one since it was six years newer.

Does anyone know a timeframe as to when they might be getting back to the old intervals(or as close to them as possible?) It would be really a shame to see it operate slower that what its capable of for very long.
Today the crew did a great job. Stacking was minimal and the crew really hustled and helped the riders buckle up if the had difficulty. The guy even did mine up because he was there to check it before I started to do it up.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

They also did my seatbelt for me too. Speaking of new programing, I got stuck half way up on sun. because the computer aparently reported a seat belt undone when none were. We had to wait 20 mins so they could come up and check them all. I wonder if this had anyhting to do with it. At leased I got a second ride without wait on the front row :)
It may have been stopped by the computer. Or it may have been stopped for a seatbelt. But it was not stopped by the computer because of a seatbelt. :)

Yeah, I had a Mantis employee try to tell me there was some electricity going through the seatbelt or some bullcrap once. I didn't buy it.
