Does anyone know what company it is that does the on ride videos for Raptor, Woodstock Express, etc. I am interested in possibly using the technology in a haunted house.
If anyone else has any ideas for a similar ideas tat will do the same thing, please let me know.

I just found an updated onride video of Raptor on YouTube, and all I can say is wow. The difference from what they were offering at the beginning of the season is amazing. It's great to know that all of the criticism that was given here early on was taken, and used to improve the product. Much more actual onride footage, and all of the stock footage is of Raptor (not from a multitude of other parks).
Great job CDRide.

^ - I'd be curious to know what kind of copyright is on the sold videos.
Especially with youtube's new anti-copyright-violation policy. Of course, Ben will post something on there and then all the teenagers will complain about Jeff and how he's mean.

Isn't the whole point of the video to "share it with your friends"? I know that aspect doesn't negate any copyright that may be on the product, but this day and age, the company has to expect that a video made to be "shared" will end up on the internet. Not to mention it's good free advertising for their product and the park.
Edit: The new editing of the movie is awesome, 100 times better than what it looked like at the start of the season. I'll definitely be buying one when I get back to the park.

Looks like they fixed the Raptor video. Did they do anything with Woodstock? Even my 2 year old was smart enough to know the rides being shown were not from Cedar Point.
Was the offer of bringing in the "old" video to upgrade it to the new version ever made good?
While it's definitely a LOT better than what they offered before, I still think it could be improved. For the average park guest, I guess they wouldn't notice the difference. But, when they show the forward POV of the coaster, then go to an entirely different section of the ride while looking at you, it's annoying. I just kept thinking to myself, "they already went through the loop....or brake run".
How much are these things again?

An anonymous 12-year-old on YouTube thinks "PB" members are dorky. Oh no!
I agree the video is much improved. Now if someone asks me I'll definatly recomend it. And by the time my nephew is tall enough to ride it it will probably be even better and probably on more rides too.

Hey Guys,
The all-new-re-edited-movie of your ride at the Raptor is ready for your pick up at the Cedar Point CDRide Booth!!
For the past month we have been field testing in and optimizing it to perfection.
Taking into consideration your remarks we have added more "capture time" (rider's reaction) to the movie, and edited it with new coaster POV (Point of view) and short coaster action shots inter-cutting.
ALL of the footage from other Cedar Fair rides has been removed to produce an all new PURE RAPTOR VIDEO.
We have also re-taped and re-mixed the sound and quality to produce what we believe is an action packed personal souvenir.
We have taken a lot of time and effort to upgrade this product and we are very happy with the result. We hope to keep upgrading and adding more bonus features in the near future for the Raptor and our other rides.
As promised you can now replace your old DVD with the new re-edited version free of charge, go to the booth after the ride (remember to bring the old DVD with you as a proof of purchase otherwise it will not be replaced) and ask a sales rep to reimburse you with a new version.
You will also receive a complimentary keychain picture or a 4*6 photo of yourself as a small "suck up" :) bonus from us to compensate for past disappointments.
I would also like to offer you guys to sign a release form at the booth so we can upload and use your movies in our upcoming web 2.0 video community site (ask the sales rep for the forms, we'll make you a world wide web star!).
My apologies for the wait, and I'm confident you'll enjoy our new product.
My door is open for further suggestions, contacts, etc…
I would also appreciate if you could continue to react to our products, send us your opinionated remarks here and we’ll surly try to use and better our product for you guys.
You can now say you’re actually influencing how roller coasters are perceived by people through other channels like web sharing and such.
Spread the word, we’re here to hear.

From what we saw during our visit a week ago, the new videos looked great. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get one before the front seat cameras only partly worked on one of our three rides.
It's nice to see the change based on customer feedback though! Good work.
The new videos do rock, and I think it's really awesome that Al and his company did such a spot on job in responding to the feedback they received. If only all companies paid that much attention to what their customers wanted.

My family loves the DVD's from Cdride. I was suprised they didn't have it on more rides. Anybody know the story?
It was newly added for this year. Rather than the stationary camera stands that only snap a quick photo as you fly past, Raptor and WoodStock Express had video cameras added to each row of seats. These camera's would capture the riders throughout the entire course of the ride. It would also be possible to get a still shot from the video similar to the photos from before.
So far, Raptor and WSE are the only two rides to have this feature.

Hey Al I sent an e-mail to your comapany trying to figure out if we could work something out like my first post but I never got a response.
So is it possible to set something up to use our current camera's. Please get ahold of me and we can talk a bit more about specifics.
Thanks
