Online store not showing October dates, or just me?

I've been struggling to purchase daily admission for October via Cedar Point's website (desktop and mobile). Calendar is empty so I can't select any dates.

Am I a total moron? What am I missing?

You're not a moron. I tried to purchase tickets last night for October 13 and it won't allow me to select any day in October.

What the heck? At least it's not just me over here...

Looks like Halloweekend September is blocked off too. Perhaps they are still deciding on pricing and deals for Halloweekends.

With the recent Bogo $36 deal for July and August dates (which I don't recall ever recall them giving away the gate like that in prime time) , maybe they are feeling a shift in attendance twords fall and still want pin down what to charge then.

Of course also likely, their online POS vendor is just having issues again and there is no grand conspiracy...

I would guess you're right that they're waiting to see what attendance will look like (perhaps via resort reservations) before committing to pricing and deals.

I would be surprised if their strategy was to block out dates like that - they have years and years of data from which to project attendance. More likely an accident related to the configuration of their BOGO feature.

Who knows. Either way, it's not ideal.

They have usually jacked up prices right before Halloweekends. Maybe they'll hold off on that for this year if attendance isn't doing so well.

Honestly, I'm glad I don't have to worry about buying tickets to CP very often because they've gotten almost as bad as airlines with the price gaming. Only an idiot would pay full gate price, but it seems pretty possible to pay anywhere from like $29.99 to say $63 depending on when you buy on the website and when you go. Makes me wish they'd simplify things and do less of the "best deal ever until tomorrow" stuff. Just an observation on something that hasn't really affected me personally. I know lots of business operate this way with fake high prices and then tons of promotions to make it seem like you're getting a deal, but the reality is no one is paying full price.

If you have a Costco Membership, they have 2 tickets and parking on sale for $79.99. A co-worker bought them and they're good any operating day of 2018. Looks like the sale price is good thru 7/29

UPDATE:
Turns out, the park is in fact withholding purchase of tickets online for September and October. Unfortunate! Don't recall them doing that before this year. Hopefully not a staffing issue.
