One Quick Question...

I was looking at the Cedar Point operating schedule and it says Saturday the 9th and 16th of September, that the park closes at 8:00 P.M. Now how come they would do this on a Saturday night?

I know kind of a dumb question, but I was just curious.

They're Bonus Weekends... They're at a bit of an ackward time between the end of daily operation and the beginning of HalloWeekends. Generally they're not that busy, and thus, the longer operating hours are not needed.

You'll find that the park's operating hours closely relate to how busy that day is likely to to be. The longer the hours, usually means likely a larger crowd.

They cut costs by closing early and sending employees home early. I hope this trend doesn't continue, but beans are beans and ya gotta count them in order to survive. I never understood the weekdays during May with an empty park thing though. Seems to me they could open in early April on weekends or over Easter break and eliminate the slow May weekdays and still bring in a bigger crowd on weekends in spring like they do during the fall. Let's face it though, what other form of entertainment is as affordable as a season pass at CP? Frankly, I don't know how they do it, but I'm glad they do!

Cost cutting? No; not here. It's been like this for a long time. In fact, I think it was last year that they added Friday nights to Bonus Weekends. Friday nights weren't originally included in Bonus Weekends.
