"One Last Dance" Information
I know there are several here who appreciate the park's history, so I wanted to pass this along.
"One Last Dance", a night of Big Band music in the Cedar Point Ballroom, will benefit Firelands Chapter, American Red Cross and the United Way of Erie County. The former host of "Make Believe Ballroom", George Mayer, will emcee the event, featuring the Benny Goodman orchestra.

Ah. That explains why I saw somebody painting the trim in the ballroom on Tuesday afternoon (he was working on the door opposite Cedar Downs; the door happened to be open so he was painting in plain view).

I think the work in the ballroom also has something to do with the IAAPA summer meeting being held in September.

Was anyone else a little scared when they heard the title "One Last Dance"? I don't want any rumors to spring up from my comments, but my first thought when I heard the title was that the wrecking ball was headed toward the Coliseum. Let's hope that never happens.
