I never knew this could happen but it looks like only 1 skyhawk arm is operating? What's up with that?
Talk with some of the employees (not seasonal) when I was up there a regulator valve was broken which resulted in both arms swinging in the same direction. That is why only one arm is working. Also ride capacity is slightly better with one arm opperation. Why is that you ask? Simple, load times are around 2 mins compared with nearly 5 mins, and crew size is the same with 1 or 2 arm opperation.

...But that at the begining of the season it was the other arm...
There's a rumor that some change that was made to the design of all the new Screamin' Swings is leaving them all with the same problem, and that they're all now being converted back to the original design.

It isn't anything out of the ordinary. At Valleyfair, my homepark, I've only seen the seen both swings going twice, and I go once a week. Like many have already said, it either isn't busy enough to run both swings, or the other swing is due to mechanical reasons.

It was running a "One Arm" operation for most of the Afternoon yesterday. The line was HUGE. But I'm a smart CP Fan and hit Forntiertown First Thing in the morning. They had NO ONE in the queue line and you could sit in ANY seat you wanted. I took 4 rides back to back to back to back :D
