ON RIDE PHOTOS

Could any tell me where the onride photos are at on the track?
About a quarter of a way into the launch, and about a quarter of a way into the brakes. Could anyone tell me how the two pictures are arranged on the picture that you buy?
From what I have seen on from news reporters, it looks like the launch picture is big, and then it shows a smaller picture on the upper right hand corner after the drop.
Can anybody post their on ride photo in their profile? It would be cool to see what they look like considering I won't have one for another month...

love the sign that says "occasionally a train will not clear the top...." hopefully that will scare away some people, only makes me wish i was on one of those trains.

At least CP knows how to spell "your."(The sign that had ride requirements on it had your spelled correctly) When I was at SFGAdv the sign in S:UF's station said "Place youre (yes, that's how they spelled your) legs inside the restraint." It said something like that but it was pretty funny.

Pagoona: is it me, or does the timing of the "after" shot seem a little off? The inset picture seems to be of the seats just in front of the ones in the main picture. I hope they can fix this by Opening Day, because I'll be getting an onride photo.

My link to those pictures were deleted and I don't know why. And yes, the timing of the two shots on the picture look WAY off. I sure hope my picture that I buy isn't like that.

I sure hope the timing is ok when I buy mine tomorrow too. I want my first ride face captured on a picture.

Heh, they're not going to let you jump the line just because some jerk ruined your photo.

Some people ruin the fun for everyone else. That's just part of life.

I thought most of the photos were really crappy. They seem to be a montage of "canned" shots with your pictures and they weren't arranged very well. On shot of me was cut off by something else. Also the timing of the picture taking needs to be fine-tuned. Some of the pictures were ok, others not. I was going to buy it but decided not to.

I agree, jdubya. Those pictures didn't turn out well at all. My girlfriend and I wanted to buy one but decided to wait for our next trip to see if they will turn out better.

Honest truth told to me by marina gate readmissions host:

Host: Hand stamped, two cents.

Me: That's cool, I think I have two cents.

Host: I better not take it, by the time you leave here its all you'll have.

My face was covered by the second picture superimposed in the upper right, and that picture was so dark you couldn't see my face...just my arm stuck up. I didn't buy it.

It was a little dissappiointing but I've got all season to get a better shot.

Wow, the on-ride photo is different than media day, and it looks much better. The logo is now in the top left corner, where as before it was in the bottom right corner, and it was blocked by the Cedar Point logo when it was inserted into the frame. And the way to two pictures are put together are better too.
I think the timing might be off by just a bit because they were designed for a 5-car train. But I could be wrong. I bought one just for the sake that it was my first ride.

Hey, that is a much better layout for the photo than what we had for media day. What pagoona said.

Same here. The ONLY reason why I bought the ORP was because it was my first ride. The drop pic looked great, but the launch one is the one needing some major work...a good idea, that, over time, will be a great idea.
