OLD TIME ROCK & ROLLERS

Look folks -

I have been going to CP since I was 8 years old -

I am now 41, live 10 miles North of Detroit.

Been to Disney World - Twice -

With that being said, EVERY TIME I go to Cedar Point, it is a sacred thing to me.

My Father took my sister & I almost every year growing up, and now, I get to share this truly, truly great experience with my 4 children.

Most notably, my youngest son, who rode the Millenium Force when he WAS 6-1/2!!!!! (Yeah, he is tall for his age)

The thing about this park is, it is clean, well-kept, and does not only have things for older adults, you can take kids there from 1-90....... doesn't matter - there is not only SOMETHING there for everyone, but a lot of it.

This past season, (2012), we bought season passes, and attended the park 14 times this past year.

I do not think I have had a better summer in my whole life.

I have to say, you guys have really out-done yourselves this past year.

We rode EVERYTHING, and I have to tell you about a two very very special moments we had -

Frist, on, I think, our second or third trip down, we visited Luminosity -

My youngest son, yes, the thrill-seeking 6-1/2 year old (who is now 11), has autism.

A couple of the dancers took the time, because they saw how much he was enjoying the music and dancing, came down by him and engaged him by dancing with him. We caught this on video, which I can share later, depending on interest.

Secondly, during Halloweekends, it was a rainy day, so not much for riding, and we went by the arcade in the middle of the Midway, where the SCREAMSTERS get ready for the big march to where the OVERLORD comes out to incite his fellow monsters.

My son, who is actually VERY VERY functional (we are very blessed), is a HUGE HALLOWEEKEND & particularly, VERY BIG OVERLORD FAN!

The guy who plays him, actually took the time, 5 MINUTES BEFORE the big march, to come out, and he took pictures with Joseph. NEVER HAS A MONSTER TAKING PICTURES WITH A LITTLE BOY brought tears to my eyes the way his ONE MOMENT OF KINDNESS and generosity of his time, been so appreciated.

I also have to add the folks at the guest services office, who took such good care of his special needs. You folks deserve every ounce of my respect and gratitude for how you treated us this past year. You know who you are.

To those who have never been to Cedar Point, my only suggestion is, GET THERE!

There is no better park or place, in my opinion, in the entire world.

Well done, Cedar Fair, Well Done. I must admit, when you took over the park, I was a little concerned that the standards would fall.

NEVER IN MY WILDEST DREAMS did I expect the bar to be raised, yet again.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope to still be riding on when I am 90.

What a beautiful, touching letter. Thank you for sharing it here.

I have many wonderful decades of memories, too. So glad you had such a good experience for you and your son and that the staff were so kind to your family.

Have you sent this to the Cedar Point main site? http://www.cedarpoint.com/contact-us

Your letter might get there more directly to the powers that be that way, too.

I hope you have many more wonderful summers at Cedar Point.

Thanks again for sharing, your letter made my day! :)

This is such a great story, I hope you would consider printing it and sending it to John Hildebrandt, GM of the park. I'm sure he would love to see it.

Last edited by Pete,

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
