Old Theming Remnants?

There are several structures in the park, for instance the gift shop next to Corkscrew (unless it's been removed since my last visit), that were built as Encyclopedia Brittanica Information booths during CP's short flirtation with corporate sponsorships.

It's amazing yet so sad how much the park has changed in the past couple years. Whenever I go into the Extreme Sports Stadium, I always know that those rocks over there, once belonged to Oceana. And in that concrete slab once swam Cocoa and Breeze. See those huts, and buildings by Power Tower and Corkscrew? That's where Jungle Larry and his animals used to perform. And you can't forget the abandoned storage building, that housed the Pirate Ride, an experience that may never set sail again. It makes me want to cry, but at least I know that everything started on that peninsula, and will always be on that peninsula. Long live the Point!

Still, the essence of the park has been change, over the decades. Oceana in turn replaced a roller coaster. Those huts are from Jungle Larry's second home on the Point.

So when we went to the House on Boo Hill in the old Pirate Ride building, I asked them if they had remnants of the upside down funhouse. They had the two mirrors that were at the end of the funhouse, the ones that made you look short and squat or tall and skinny. But what I was really in awe of was when she pointed out to me the fortune teller from Earthquake was outside the building! It was really cool seeing that (and moving!) after all these years. I hope they have it next year, I didn't think to take a picture of it. "I see an earthquake in your future."

ETA: There was a guy there, apparently he holds all the old theming figures, et. al. He said there was nothing left of the funhouse but he had all the pirate ride stuff.
