I know there was a closed thread on here about another sky ride. What i am wondering and have for a while is the old station by skyhawk. I know there is the restrooms in the lower floor of it and lockers but what is where the old loading station was. Is there a storage room there, maybe some old ride parts or something. I always thought if they would use that as a small arcade or maybe modify the building to put a live bluegrass band or something like that in it. A raised stage of sorts if you know what i mean.

Its storage. Not sure how much of it, but I would guess most of it is.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
yeah it would be cool to look down at it, but the height of the wires would have to be pretty good to get above it. Not to mention that PE also runs through the lagoon. I would like to see that building used for something more than storage though.

Come to think of it now. I don't know if there could be a live band or anything like that in there because of the noise from skyhawk. I know that the ride is much quieter than last year due to the change in the pistons. I still could see like an old time penny arcade or something western themed.

Ok for the people who dont know. I have a great pic in this link. It is in our photos section. The building with the clock on it is the one in question.

As they would have to raise the cables up very high to clear Millennium and the dragon.... I am curious if there were a way to "link" the two skyrides together... rather have a mid way station that would allow transport in either direction...
Yes I agree it is most likely a simple pipe dream.... But an intriguing thought for those of us who are flat footed and have grown a bit tired of the CP and LE RR excursion. :0)
^Same thing as BGA.. gives really good views of all the animals too.
I wouldn't mind this.. as it would give a better way to get from front to back without having to kill your legs. Plus.. the views would be magical.

The other station is actually right around where Coasters is now. The current Iron Dragon station was actually the old Western Cruise station.

Here's a pic of an old postcard. Maybe it'll help give you an idea of where the Midway station was placed.

:-) As much as I'd like to think it is that easy, there are a lot of obstructions in the way, not to mention a rollercoaster or two.... I'm sure it would be a substantial capital improvement involving several additional towers and drive mechanisms.
^Also including one long cable and little to nothing that could back up such a large investment since such a ride wouldn't be necessary.
Frontier Lift and C.P. & L.E. Railroad were the only way to get back to Frontier Town when they were first built. Since then the Gemini/Top Thrill Dragster Midway was built out and Frontier Trail. Both of those have enough attractions and shops to be able to justify the walk back and the Railroad is still a great way to get back there.
