Well, when I was there, they started running empty trains through CCMR about four different times, and then stop randomly each time. Everything looked as if it were running fine...
As for Mantis, that is true, I forgot that one. I had seen that one run Saturday or Sunday. It's weird that just now it couldn't make it through it's track, when it's been able to for the past 13 years now...
And what I meant about the Magnum is that I remember it constantly was getting stuck on the first couple feet of the chain lift.
I have to say that Saturday was one of the best opening days I have seen in a long time when it comes to rides up and running.
I saw Wicked Twister down for a few minutes, but it was back up and running within 20 minutes. It marked the first time in a long time I had been to the park on opening day and didn't have to get out of line due to a broken ride.

I agree. On Saturday, it seemed like CCMR was down a good chunk of the day. During one pass on the train maintenance was working on the one operating train in the shed, but it was on the main line.
I did see WT down. It looked like it was half out of the station when I saw it.
What I want to know is does anyone know why Dragster does not have all of its trains on? Seems to be operating with 3 or 4 trains opening day with the others nowhere in sight. On Saturday afternoon I did see Dragster not even make it much past the highest catwalk. I know it was windy that, however.
All in all, I agreed that Saturday was one of the better opening days all around for quite some time!

It's because not all the trains got their safety certification, I believe.
First time to Cedar Point was opening day 2009, 7 hours in line for TTD, 2 rollbacks =)
Cedar Point has many more ride vehicles to service than they did say ten years ago. While the point can be made as to why they didn't hire more people to service more vehicles, I'm pleased that they seem to still be meticulous in overhauling the trains and are not rushing things just to get the trains back on the track. You expect safe, clean rides at Cedar Point, and I think you still get that in spite of the economy and some budget problems.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
There are multiple trains sitting in and around the maintenance building inside Mean Streak as of Tuesday.
I believe Thursday marks the First day of the season Top Thrill Dragster Never rolled back. I also say that it was open for the 10 hours of park operations, tho it did have a 20 min downtime however made up due to opening 20 minutes early (9:40 opened to ERT..)
Great Day for Dragster. Millennium had a rough start, and Corkscrew had power issues until 4pm. Raptor closed for an hour around 5, and Maverick... I thought I saw closed for only minutes but none the less perfect.
