Ohio Trip- August 14-18

hello everyone! i am coming from north carolina, for a week long trip to the area. i am planning on going to SFO on the 14th, and cedar point on the 15th and 16th, before making my way back towards home and hitting kings island on the 18th. i need some advice on cheap alternatives for hotels/motels near SFO. any help would be appreciated.

This is just a guess, but why not try to find a hotel in the half-way mark 'tween SFO and CP. Unless you already have reservations in the Sandusky area, it might save ya a few bucks. Just a thought.

I got a crummy Days Inn room about 5 miles from SFO. It sucks because during the winter, the room rates are about $40, but during summer, it gets cranked to $120!! FOR A CRAPPY DAYS INN!!! I'm paying $140 a night at Breakers and $110 at Kings Island Resort and Conference Center, but I don't mind that because at least it's on site. SFO is only 2.5 hours (I think)from CP, so my suggestion is to do the park, then head towards Sandusky.

You may want to check out the Hampton Inn in WESTLAKE , OH. There are also a couple of other chain hotels in this area. Westlake is located on the WEST side of Cleveland. It is approx. 45-50 minutes to CP from Westlake and about one hour to SFO.
Rates in this area are not affected by the seasonal businesses and may offer a better deal for you.
