Okay, so you missed the PointBuzz event on April 2, and you've been looking at all the photos of Cedar Point in the early Spring...
Well, you also missed Walt Schmidt's presentation on the Internet and its effect on the Cedar Point fan. Now you can see that presentation on-line or on your mobile device. It's featured (until I come up with something new) on my blip.tv video page, more permanently at this page.
Enjoy!
(Apologies for the poor video quality for the last five minutes; I shot so much video in the park that my camera battery died and I had to finish up with my cell phone...)

Where was your extra battery, video guy? :)

...Or why didn't I race out to the car and grab the iPad 2 I had just acquired a couple hours earlier? It's camera is better than the one in the phone!
That is the one thing I haven't liked about my 'new' camera (Sony HDR-XR500). It can usually last a full day, but just barely (and at the event I shot more in four or five hours than I normally shoot in a day). By comparison the TRV-8 and TRV-80 could go for several full days on the basic battery and I never understood why people ever bought the bigger ones.
I suppose a new battery is in my future for the HDR. Or maybe I just need to upgrade to the solid-state version, now that they have one with a viewfinder available...
