Ode to Cedar Point
What is it about that place Cedar Point you might say?
and why do we come to this site day by day
For some its the sights and sounds
for others it's all those rides abound
There's MF, Raptor, Magnum, Mantis too,
after riding those you'll swear you flew
There you can scream to your hearts content,
and no one will think your brains alittle bent
On some rides the front seat can be a bore
the best seat on Raptor?? 8-4!!
You think it's so cool the ride ops know you by name
when you don't see one you know it doesn't seem the same
You know that Mantis was once Banshee
June bad for muffleheads, July for bees
Magnum isn't sinking
the light on MF is always blinking
You know where you are simply by the sound of the screams
you even ride those rides in your dreams
You know the fastest way to get anywhere in the park
and you know there is just something special about Cedar Point after dark
For some its the dippin dots
or those crazy Raptor hot shots
For some it's the t-shirt they just have to own
or those huge ice cream cones
Some just like to sit and watch the crowds go by
and dart to Mf in the morning and wonder "why?"
For some it was the excitement of the rides
for me it was simply the person who was by my side
We all hold our special moments tried and true
I know the end of this season left me especially blue
I met alot of new friends and fellow CP freaks
got my Raptor op dream furfilled in the final 6 weeks
I felt very sad driving the causeway the last day
knowing it would be months before I would head that way
Cedar Point......
It holds different meanings to some
then some (like me) just love to have FUN!!!!
